I’ve uploaded four new additions to my Photo Journal.
I’ve decided that a good portion of my online life has become the equivalent of sharing slides of my hikes and travels. Is that a good thing? I am not sure, but I have been enjoying the opportunity to get out there and shoot. I wasn’t really able to do that until late last year, and I plan to make up for lost time.
Previews and links for two of the are below the fold. I will feature the others in later posts. Of course, you could just check the site link to see them all.
The good news? Unlike those of slide shows, you can choose whether or not to click.
I kind of hope you do, though
First up is a gallery from the Milwaukee Zoo. Taking pictures at the zoo feels a bit like cheating. Great images are pretty much everywhere. These are a few of the ones I liked the best. My favorite has to be the Moon Jellyfish which turned out a lot better than I expected despite the dark and reflective conditions of the tank.
Scuppernong is a series of trails a few miles southwest of Milwaukee. In the winter, the trails are designed for cross-country skiers, but they make for excellent hiking in the summer. These photos were taken in a bit of hurry. It was obvious that a storm was on the way and I needed to make it back before the rain started.
I didn’t quite beat the first drops of rain, but I did manage to avoid the deluge that followed.
